NuEthix Gourmet Greens

NuEthix's daily greens drink with fruit, vegetable, enzyme and probiotic blends, in Espresso Mocha and Berry

Gourmet Greens is NuEthix's daily drink powder for everyday wellness and digestion: fruits, vegetables, digestive enzymes and probiotics in one easy-mixing scoop. The two flavors are different formulas. Espresso Mocha is built on a 2.08 g vegetable blend led by organic spirulina, carrot, beet and broccoli, with a fruit blend, a digestive blend of cinnamon, aloe and enzymes, and four probiotic species. Berry leads with a 2.86 g blend of berries and other fruits, plus vegetables, enzymes, probiotics and a fiber blend of oat bran, apple, aloe and prune.

Mix 1 scoop in 8 to 10 oz of cold water once a day. A scoop is 30 to 40 calories depending on the flavor, and the label marks both gluten free and non-GMO. Espresso Mocha gets its flavor from cocoa and natural flavors and contains soy, and Berry adds 99 mg of vitamin C a scoop. Keep the tub in the fridge after opening.

Other ingredients: Espresso Mocha: cocoa bean powder processed with alkali, natural flavors, soy lecithin (non-GMO), stevia, xanthan gum; contains soy. Berry: natural flavors, guar gum, citric acid, silica, stevia.

Probiotics are listed by weight, with species names but no CFU count. Earlier tubs list a few different numbers: Espresso Mocha with 2 g of protein, 2.3 mg of iron and 15 mg of sodium, and Berry with 35 calories and 9 g of carbs. The blend weights are the same.

How to use it

  1. Mix 1 scoop in 8 to 10 oz of cold water once a day.
  2. Refrigerate the tub after opening to keep it fresh, per the label.
  3. It's sold by weight, so the powder can settle in shipping and a scoop can run a little over or under.

If you're pregnant, nursing or taking medication, check with your healthcare practitioner before use, and keep it away from children. Espresso Mocha contains soy. If you have a milk allergy, check with NuEthix first: its FAQ says the probiotic cultures contain milk, though the label doesn't list it.

A good fit if you

  • Want fruits, vegetables, enzymes and probiotics in one daily drink
  • Like a mocha-flavored greens drink, or prefer berry
  • Want a low-calorie scoop you mix with cold water

Common questions

Does Gourmet Greens have caffeine?

Neither label lists caffeine or coffee. Both flavors include green tea leaf extract and Espresso Mocha has cocoa, but NuEthix says the caffeine is too low to detect.

Are the two flavors the same formula?

No. Espresso Mocha leads with a vegetable blend and has a separate probiotic blend, while Berry leads with a fruit blend, adds vitamin C and a fiber blend, and puts its probiotics in the enzyme blend.

How many probiotics are in a scoop?

The label lists them by weight, not CFU: a 114 mg blend of four species in Espresso Mocha, and four species inside Berry's 2.4 g enzyme and probiotic blend.

Does it need to be refrigerated?

The label says to keep it refrigerated after opening for the best freshness.

How many servings are in a tub?

About 27 in Espresso Mocha (10.8 oz) and about 30 in Berry (10.75 oz).
