Life Extension Glucosamine/Chondroitin
Glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate in one capsule, Life Extension's daily formula for healthy joints and cartilage
Glucosamine/Chondroitin Capsules is Life Extension's everyday joint formula, built to support healthy joint function, joint structure and cartilage. Glucosamine and chondroitin are both natural parts of cartilage, the tissue that cushions your joints, and this capsule gives you the two together. Current 90-capsule bottles have 500 mg of glucosamine sulfate and 400 mg of chondroitin sulfate in each capsule, and you take 1 capsule three times a day with food.
Some bottles on our shelves may still be the earlier 100-capsule version, which has 400 mg of glucosamine sulfate and 450 mg of chondroitin sulfate per capsule and says to take 1 capsule one to eight times a day with food, so check the panel on your bottle. Both are gluten free and non-GMO. The capsule is gelatin, and the label lists crustacean shellfish (shrimp and crab).

How to use it
- Current bottles: take 1 capsule three times a day with food.
- Earlier 100-capsule bottles say 1 capsule one to eight times a day with food. Follow the directions on your bottle.
- Store the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry place.
Contains crustacean shellfish (shrimp and crab), so skip it if you're allergic to shellfish. NIH's National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health notes that glucosamine may raise blood sugar in some people, and that glucosamine and chondroitin have been linked to a higher risk of bleeding in people taking the blood thinner warfarin, so talk to your doctor first if either applies to you. Little is known about their safety while pregnant or nursing, so check with your physician first in that case or if you have a medical condition. Don't exceed the directions on your bottle. Keep out of reach of children.
A good fit if you
- Want glucosamine and chondroitin together in one capsule
- Train hard and want daily support for your joints and cartilage
- Like a simple capsule you take with meals

Common questions
How much glucosamine and chondroitin is in each capsule?
Current 90-capsule bottles have 500 mg of glucosamine sulfate and 400 mg of chondroitin sulfate. Earlier 100-capsule bottles have 400 mg of glucosamine sulfate and 450 mg of chondroitin sulfate.

Does it contain shellfish?
Yes. The label says it contains crustacean shellfish (shrimp and crab), so it isn't for anyone with a shellfish allergy.
