Life Extension Super Omega-3
Life Extension's Mediterranean-inspired fish oil, with 700 mg of EPA and 500 mg of DHA per serving plus olive extract and sesame lignans
Super Omega-3 is Life Extension's flagship fish oil, made to support heart and brain health. It's built around the Mediterranean diet: a concentrated wild fish oil (Pure+, IFOS certified for purity and freshness) paired with Polyphen-Oil olive extract from the fruit and leaf and a sesame seed lignan extract. Each serving gives you 700 mg of EPA and 500 mg of DHA, plus 300 mg of olive extract.
Life Extension makes it two ways. The 240-count bottle has small, easy-to-swallow softgels, 4 per serving. The 120-count bottle has enteric-coated softgels for sensitive stomachs, 2 per serving. Both list the same amounts per serving, both are taken twice a day with meals, and either bottle is about a 30-day supply. Life Extension adds natural lemon flavor to help with fishy aftertaste.

Common questions
How many softgels do I take?
It depends on the bottle. With the 240-count small softgels, take 4 twice a day with meals. With the 120-count enteric-coated softgels, take 2 twice a day with meals.
What's the difference between the 240-count and 120-count bottles?
The formula and the amounts per serving are the same. The 240-count bottle uses smaller softgels that are easier to swallow, and the 120-count bottle uses enteric-coated softgels, which Life Extension makes for sensitive stomachs.
How much EPA and DHA do I get a day?
At the full directions (two servings a day), 1,400 mg of EPA and 1,000 mg of DHA. According to NIH, the FDA recommends no more than 5 g a day of EPA and DHA combined from supplements.
Will it give me fishy burps?
Life Extension adds natural lemon flavor to help with the fishy aftertaste some people get, and the label says to take it with meals. If your stomach is sensitive, the enteric-coated version is the one Life Extension makes for that.
