Nutricost Niacin (Flush-Free)
Flush-free niacin: 500 mg of vitamin B3 from inositol hexanicotinate in one capsule a day
This is Nutricost's flush-free niacin: 500 mg of niacin (vitamin B3) from inositol hexanicotinate in one capsule, with 120 capsules in the bottle. Inositol hexanicotinate is the form sold as flush free because it doesn't cause the warm, red skin flush that regular niacin can (NIH ODS).
Niacin supports healthy metabolism. Your body turns it into NAD, a coenzyme that more than 400 enzymes depend on, including the ones that turn the energy in carbs, fat and protein into ATP. The only other ingredients are the gelatin capsule and magnesium stearate, and the label marks it non-GMO, gluten-free and third-party tested.

Other ingredients: Gelatin capsule, magnesium stearate (vegetable source)
Non-GMO, gluten-free and third-party tested, according to the label. Made and quality tested in the USA with globally sourced ingredients, in a GMP-compliant facility. The capsules are gelatin, so this isn't vegetarian.
How to use it
- Take 1 capsule a day with 8 to 12 oz of water.
- Don't take more than the label directs, and store the bottle in a cool, dry place.
For healthy adults 18 and older. Each capsule has 500 mg of niacin, 3,125% of the Daily Value and far above the 35 mg a day upper limit the NIH's Office of Dietary Supplements lists for supplemental niacin in adults (a limit based on flushing from regular niacin). Talk with your healthcare provider before taking it, especially if you're pregnant or nursing, take medication or have a medical condition, and don't take more than 1 capsule a day. Keep out of reach of children, and don't use it if the safety seal is broken or missing.
A good fit if you
- Want niacin without the flush
- Like one capsule a day
- Want a single B vitamin rather than a full B-complex

Common questions
Will this make my skin flush?
It's labeled flush-free. The NIH's Office of Dietary Supplements says inositol hexanicotinate doesn't cause the flushing that regular niacin (nicotinic acid) can.
Is flush-free niacin the same as regular niacin?
It's a different form: niacin bound to inositol. The NIH says niacin absorption from this form varies widely and averages about 30% lower than from regular niacin or niacinamide.
How much niacin is in each capsule?
500 mg, which is 3,125% of the Daily Value. The label serving is 1 capsule a day, and the bottle has 120.
Is it vegetarian?
No. The capsules are gelatin.
