Con-Cret Creatine HCl Capsules

Con-Cret's concentrated creatine HCl in one small capsule, 750 mg each and dosed by body weight

Con-Cret makes creatine hydrochloride (HCl), which it says dissolves far better in water than creatine monohydrate, so it uses a smaller dose. Each vegetarian capsule holds 750 mg of Con-Cret creatine HCl, and you dose it by body weight: one capsule per 100 lbs for normal training, up to two per 100 lbs when you train hard. Con-Cret built it to support strength, endurance and recovery.

The only other ingredient is the plant-based capsule. Con-Cret says it's made in the USA, certified vegan, gluten free and kosher, and Con-Cret Creatine HCl capsules are in the NSF Certified for Sport listing. Bottles come in 72 or 90 capsules.

Supplement facts per capsule

Serving size: 1 capsule (750 mg) · 72 or 90, by bottle size servings per container

Con-Cret creatine HCl750 mg

Other ingredients: Vegetarian capsule (hypromellose)

Certified vegan, gluten free and kosher, per Con-Cret. Earlier capsule stock used capsules with titanium dioxide; current bottles list only the vegetarian capsule.

How to use it

  1. Take it 30 to 60 minutes before training with at least 6 oz of water or another drink, with or without food.
  2. Normal training: 1 capsule per 100 lbs of body weight. Intense training: 1 to 2 capsules per 100 lbs.
  3. On rest days, Con-Cret suggests 1 capsule per 100 lbs. It says there's no need to load or cycle it.

Con-Cret doesn't publish the bottle's warning text online, so read your bottle's label before use. If you have a digestive condition or get stomach discomfort, Con-Cret says to check with your healthcare provider.

A good fit if you

  • Would rather swallow a small capsule than mix a powder
  • Want to dose your creatine by body weight
  • Compete in a tested sport and look for NSF Certified for Sport products

Common questions

How many capsules should I take?

Con-Cret doses by body weight: 1 capsule per 100 lbs for normal training and 1 to 2 per 100 lbs for intense training, 30 to 60 minutes before you train. A 200 lb lifter would take 2 capsules on a normal training day.

Is creatine HCl better than creatine monohydrate?

Con-Cret says HCl dissolves much better in water, which is why it uses a smaller dose. Most creatine research has been done on creatine monohydrate, so if you want the most studied form, we carry Creapure monohydrate from Nutristat too.

Do I need to load it?

No. Con-Cret says there's no need to load or cycle it. Take it according to the directions.

Is it vegan?

Yes. The capsule is hypromellose, and Con-Cret says the product is certified vegan, gluten free and kosher.
